Join us for a Financial Aid Workshop on November 4 from 6-8 PM in the KHS Commons.
This event is open to students and parents, featuring four breakout sessions that dive into the financial aid process, scholarships, and real college costs.
Breakout Sessions Include:
- Demystifying the FAFSA Process
- Idaho Opportunities & LAUNCH Scholarships
- Scholarship Superstars: How to Search & Stand Out
Representatives from college admissions, military programs, and other training programs will also be available to discuss funding options for education and training.

|
Lunch & Learns provide students with a valuable chance to explore various schools, trades, military branches, and career paths.
When: 10:30 - 11:25 am
Where: Career Center
Note:
- Students transferring to and from Swan Falls can come and go as needed to stay on schedule.
- Some sessions are grade-specific, so you’ll only be able to sign up if the session is for your grade.
Students who register by the deadline will receive a free lunch. While all students are welcome to attend, only those who sign up on time will get a free lunch.

Colleges and Military Representatives Visit: Important Dates
|
Colleges and military representatives will be on campus during intervention and lunch on the following days to assist seniors with the application process:
- CWI Monday 11/11/2024
- Army Tuesday 11/12/2024
- Army Tuesday 12/10/2024
- BSU Thursday 12/12/2024
If you are interested in attending any of these schools or military branches, be sure to check in with them on these days.
Meeting with representatives won’t take your entire lunch break, but it will ensure you have all the necessary components for your application and financial aid.

Idaho Latino Scholarship Foundation Scholarship
|
The Idaho Latino Scholarship Foundation (ILSF), was founded in 2008 to ease the financial burden Idaho Latino students face when striving towards a higher education. Workin galongside our generous community members, corporate sponses, and volunteers, we provide deserving students an opporutnity to radically chanie their lives.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Applicands must be and Idaho resident and be of Latino descent
- DACA are eligible
- Deomonstrated leadership in school, community and/or other service orgnizations
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5+

Students enrolled or planning to enroll at Boise State University, College of Southern Idaho, or College of Western Idaho in engineering or computer science have the chance to apply for a 4-year scholarship funded by the National Science Foundation. Eligible students can receive up to $10,000 per year to support their education in various engineering and computer science programs at BSU.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Enrolled full-time in engineering or computer science at BSU, CSI, or CWI
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Pell-grant eligible and demonstrate financial need

2025 Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship
|
Application Deadline: November 12, 2024
The Elks National Foundation awards $2.52 million in college scholarships to a total of 500 high school seniors nationwide through its Most Valuable Student contest.
Local judging by the Nampa Elks Lodge Scholarship Committee is done in December, with the top three boys and top three girls as our lodge winners. We award the scholarships in May, with the checks made payable to their college. Based on their score, applicants can advance to district, state, and national levels.
MVS Scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year college degree on a full-time basis (minimum 12 semester hours) at a U.S. college next school year.
Some important application details include:
- Current high school seniors who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
- Applicants do not have to be related to a member of the Elks.
- Male and female students compete separately.
