Current Role: CFO/Controller at 1,4GROUP, Inc.
Brian Ware discovered his passion for accounting in high school, guided by a supportive accounting teacher who helped him explore the field. After earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting, Brian launched his career in finance and now serves as CFO/Controller, where he helps people understand the story behind the numbers to make informed decisions and mentors new accounting colleagues.
Brian finds his work most rewarding when he can provide solutions to complex problems and help others succeed. His advice to students is to explore the accounting paths that excite them, dive in deeply, and stay open to new ideas. Listening to more experienced professionals and asking questions are key habits that have helped him succeed.
Like many in the profession, Brian has faced challenges—especially during long tax season hours while balancing family life. He manages stress by engaging in activities outside of work, such as hiking, weightlifting, cooking, and spending time with his family.
Some of Brian’s fondest memories from Kuna High School include making new friends and being welcomed into the small community when he moved there as a freshman. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active and cooking, always finding time to connect with loved ones.
Brian’s motto: “Find what excites you and dive in fully.”
