Support Student Productivity: Opt-In for the Kuna High School Youth Well-Being Survey

This notice requests parental permission to invite students to take part in the Idaho Youth Well-Being Survey, which addresses challenges like social medialoneliness, and peer pressure that impact grades and attendance.
The survey is voluntary, confidential, and anonymousapproved by the State, and tailored by the Kuna School Board. With your permission, it will provide valuable insights to guide student-led support campaigns and foster a more productive school community.

Epilepsy Awareness!

Every year, we bring Epilepsy Awareness to KHS during the month of November. This is the 4th year of the event and every year, we try to do a little more to help make a difference in the lives of those impacted by Epilepsy.

Why promote Epilepsy Awareness?

1 in 26 people live with Epilepsy around the world. It is the oldest, yet still the least understood and research funded medical condition. 50% of people with epilepsy don't know what caused their condition and 50% of people who live with epilepsy do not have good seizure control. Many people with epilepsy face stigma, isolation, and lower quality of life. Depression and anxiety disproportionately impact people living with epilepsy.

Supporting people with epilepsy makes a huge impact in helping them be seen and understood. One of the biggest ways you can support and help promote Epilepsy Awareness is by donating to our fundraiser to the Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho and their free summer camp for kids with epilepsy. 100% of our fundraising goes to support this cause!

The JROTC is dedicating their PT Fridays toward Epilepsy Awareness. Our goal is to collect $1 per mile toward the miles that the cadets run over the 3 Fridays in November. On average, they run about 1 mile per cadet per PT day. So our goal and staff challenge is to raise $330.

You can give as little as $5 or make a pledge towards a per mile amount.

Camp Hope, the summer camp for kids with epilepsy, means so much to these kids and the fact that it is free makes a huge impact on families. Help us support this cause during Epilepsy Awareness Month!

You can donte through the KHS Fundraiser link here OR by cash or check to the KHS bookkeeper.

Thank you for your support!

Cold Weather

As we enter the colder months of the school year we provide different areas in the school for students to eat lunch and enjoy their lunch time. We always have our commons as the first choice for eating lunch for the entire year. During winter months we will have tables and chairs set up in the lower and upper gym foyers. When it starts to get colder, we will open an upper gym for students to be able to do indoor activities.
