Small Town Throw Down

The Small Town Throw Down is an annual rivalry basketball showdown between Middleton and Kuna for a night of spirited competition and community giving.
This year, the event will take place in Middleton, with back-to-back games for the Varsity Girls and Boys teams.
Why do we do this event?
  • Epic School Spirit: We transform our half of the gymnasium, decorating from floor to ceiling with posters and displays to showcase our school pride!
  • Charity Focus: The event is dedicated to raising money for a chosen non-profit. This year, all proceeds benefit My Happy Place. Fundraising efforts begin the week before the game and culminate on the night of the Throwdown.
  • Engaging Entertainment: The excitement doesn't stop with the game! During the half times of both matchups, we host fun games that involve students from both schools.
  • Maximum Involvement: The goal is to fill the student section, bringing high energy to the night. We invite our Band and Cheerleaders to be there, fueling the atmosphere with music and enthusiasm.
  • The Competition: The entire event from decorations and student turnout to sportsmanship and fundraising is judged by an outside panel using a specific rubric.
The Small Town Throw Down is more than just a game; it's an opportunity to create lasting memories for everyone involved. While it requires a lot of hard work, the effort is truly worth it for the experience and the positive impact on our chosen charity and student body.

Traffic Advisory: Swan Falls Road – One-Day Emergency Closure

Idaho Power will close Swan Falls Road between Avalon Street and Shortline Street on Tuesday, December 16. Commuters should detour use Bridge Street via Main or Shortline during the closure.
