Dear KSD Families,

It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the final quarter of the school year! Our students are currently diving into state assessments, and we are excited for them to show how much they’ve grown. It is also inspiring to see our Career Technical Education (CTE) students excel at state competitions, with several already qualifying for nationals. Congratulations to these talented students!

This season is also about looking forward. We hope the recent registration activities, career fair, and parent events have been helpful as students explore course options and plan for the year ahead.

We’ve especially enjoyed connecting with so many of you at our recent Parent Universities. I was glad that incoming superintendent Marcus Myers could join us in welcoming our newest kindergarten families, and we invite families of incoming freshmen to keep that momentum going at our next session: Monday, April 20 at 6 p.m. at Kuna High School.

While these transitions are exciting, a strong school-family partnership also means tackling the modern challenges our students face together. To help you spot risks before they become concerns, we invite all KSD parents and guardians to a special event:

"Keeping Kids Safe"
April 27 | 6:30–8:00 p.m. | Kuna Performing Arts Center (KPAC)
This parent-only evening offers practical, real-world insight into the digital and social pressures today’s students navigate. Our featured speakers include:
  • Officer Gomez: SRO David Gomez, a nationally recognized expert with 20 years in law enforcement.
  • Monte Stiles: A retired federal prosecutor with 29 years of experience in drug prevention and youth leadership.
  • "Through Their Eyes": A panel of Treasure Valley youth, facilitated by the Kuna Police Department, sharing honest feedback on vaping, digital safety, and the modern teen experience.

Your Voice Matters: Annual Parent Survey

As we work together to keep our students safe and informed, your feedback is our most valuable tool for improvement. We invite you to take a few minutes to complete our Annual Parent Survey. Your input on school safety, our communication efforts, and the overall student experience helps us shape the future of Kuna schools.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we finish this school year strong.
