Note from the Principal

Dear KHS/SFHS Families, 

What an incredible week it has been across campus! Our students and staff showed up in full force for our Spirit Week dress-up days, bringing tremendous energy, creativity, and Kaveman pride to the halls every single day.

The excitement builds to tomorrow night's main event: Our Homecoming Game against the Capital Eagles! Pack the stands, wear school colors, and let’s bring the energy to support our football team, marching band, and cheerleaders. Kickoff is tomorrow evening at 7pm, let's fill the stadium and make it an unforgettable night!

To celebrate our students, teams, and Homecoming court, we will be holding our Homecoming Assembly tomorrow! We are excited for a high-energy event filled with school spirit before game night.  Tomorrow's assembly schedule is below in this newsletter. 

Starting in this Newsletter, I'm excited to launch a brand-new recurring feature in our weekly newsletter: Staff & Classroom Spotlights.  Here at Kuna High School, part of our mission centers on building strong relationships with our students and delivering high-quality, meaningful instruction every single day. We have phenomenal educators doing incredible work across all departments, from hands-on projects to collaborative group discussions and projects that help our students grow and become future-ready. 

Through these weekly features, you will get a first hand look at what is happening inside our classrooms, highlighting the passion of our staff and the learning taking place across our campus. Below are our very first spotlights!

Mrs. Hibbard

Mrs. Hibbard plays a vital role in guiding our students through high-level academics, teaching several of our dual credit college courses, including DCLA 101 and DCLA 102. Beyond the classroom, she stays just as active reading, writing, showing her Shelties, and teaching at Northwest Nazarene University (NNU). Mrs. Hibbard is an exceptional educator who builds deep, meaningful connections with her students, making a lasting impact through her dedication, expertise, and genuine care for their success.

Mr. Corcoran

Mr. Corcoran brings both expertise and incredible energy to our math department, teaching Math Lab, a dedicated support class for students building their math skills, as well as Consumer Math, which equips juniors and seniors with practical, real-world math skills. Beyond the classroom, he shares his passion as an amateur photographer and coaches middle school basketball. Known for his fun-loving and enthusiastic spirit, Mr. Corcoran is an exceptional teacher who brightens everyone's day with a warm smile whenever he greets students and staff in the halls.

KunaBOLD

Kuna High School is proud to be a Boise State BroncoBOLD ambassador school—known locally as KunaBOLD! To kick off Mental Health Awareness Week and help reduce mental health stigma, students participated in the National Chalk the Walk event and wrapped up the week with a Friday karaoke party in the commons!

On Saturday, BSU recognized all of the BroncoBOLD ambassador schools by inviting some of our BroncoBOLD kids to the football game.

CAST Hosted Karoke

Last Friday CAST held Karoke in the cafeteria at lunch time.  Cast does different events throughout the year help KHS a great place for students.

Class of 2027 Fundraiser

Our Class of 2027 spent a warm Saturday getting creative and making their mark! Seniors paid to paint and reserve their individual parking spots, turning the school lot into a vibrant gallery while raising essential funds for their Senior Trip.

Voter Registration Reminder for Families

If you are a first-time voter, have recently moved, or have moved to Idaho from another state, please take a moment to check or update your voter registration status. 
You can verify your record or register online through the official VoteIdaho Voter Services Portal or by visiting VoteIdaho.gov.
The next election is Tuesday, November 3, 2026 and no school will be held that day. This is an example of a sentence to begin a paragraph.
